Projects to get involved….
Regenerative Halal Livestock Initiative
The Regenerative Halal Livestock Initiative combines Islamic dietary principles with regenerative agriculture to raise animals humanely, restore soil health, and sequester carbon while ensuring halal integrity throughout the supply chain; by prioritizing local raised, pasture-based, rotational grazing practices, biodiversity, and natural feed, the initiative improves animal welfare and ecosystem resilience, supports small and Indigenous producers through fair market access, and delivers transparent, certified halal products that meet both religious standards and climate-smart goals, offering consumers a way to honor faith, community, and the planet through every purchase.
Food Forest & Farm Land Access Mentorship Program
Increasing access to farmland through targeted mentored programs and converting depleted soils and underused lands into community-managed food forests revitalizes neighborhoods, strengthens food sovereignty, and reconnects people with growing seasons and local ecosystems. These initiatives prioritize equitable land tenure and affordable parcel leases for BIPOC, immigrant, and low-income farmers, pair technical support with native and permaculture-focused planting plans, and create multi-generational learning hubs where schools and community groups co-manage orchards, nut groves, medicinal understories, and perennial polycultures.
Cooperative Infrastructures & Alternative Building Systems
Exploring alternative building ideas, structures such as geodesic domes, agricultural structures, poultry systems, greenhouse environments, and resilient low-impact building models, increases our local growing capacity and sustainable urban and rural development. Co-housing, land trusts, housing co-ops—ensure long-term affordability, social bonds, and democratic governance, turning housing into a collective commons. These practices build durable, adaptable, and just environments that center community needs, shared benefits, and boost local capacity to face population growth, food production and general individual self-sufficiency, while also participating and contributing to communal activities.
